The Pioneer TS-WH500A is a sealed active/shallow-mount subwoofer featuring Pioneer’s “HVT” (Horizontal Vertical Transforming) technology. It delivers powerful bass from a very compact enclosure (just ~2-3/8″ height), making it ideal for tight spaces (under seats, in small trunks) without compromising on low-frequency performance.

Features

• HVT (Horizontal Vertical Transforming) woofer design: uses a dual-motor, dual-diaphragm setup to transform horizontal driving into vertical movement, achieving subwoofer output with reduced depth.

• Sealed enclosure (“sealed active subwoofer”) for tight, accurate bass response.

• Built-in MOSFET amplifier section with remote control for volume, low-pass (crossover), and phase adjustment.

• Low-profile height (≈ 2.375″ / 2-3/8″) allowing flexible mounting options.

• Polypropylene woofer cone with rubber surround.

• Frequency response down to 20 Hz for good bass extension.
