🔌 Wiring & Installation Tips
- Power & Ground:
Use an 8 AWG power wire directly to the vehicle battery (fuse close to battery) and a solid ground connection to clean chassis metal near installation point. Use full-copper wire to avoid corrosion issues. - Signal Input:
- If your head unit has RCA outputs, use the low-level RCA input (300 mV) for best noise rejection.
- If only speaker-level signal is available, use the high-level input (1.0 V) and consider a line-output converter (LOC) if necessary.
- Amplifier Turn-On (Remote):
The unit must receive a remote-on trigger—often tapped from the head unit’s remote output or accessory-switched 12 V supply (fused)—so it powers on only with the ignition. - General Advice:
Always fuse close to the battery, test wiring with a multimeter if signal is missing (check voltages on RCA and speaker wires) and ensure ground and power are properly connected.
